Strandline Resources Limited is an ASX listed mining company with an exciting pipeline of projects across Australia and Tanzania. We are building one of the largest mineral sands mines in the world right now in our own backyard, in Shark Bay Western Australia, producing critical minerals of the future - zircon, titanium and rare earths - products used in everyday life applications.

Construction is nearing completion of the world-scale Coburn project with first... production planned for the December quarter of 2022. Strandline also owns a significant portfolio of mineral sands projects in Tanzania which are at various stages of development, including the near ready to construct Fungoni project.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager the Metallurgist / Process Engineer will be part of the Perth based corporate engineering team. The Engineering team sets and maintains engineering standards, provides project support, manages studies and brownfields projects and will provide operational support (to Coburn and other projects), provides R&D solutions and develops and maintains critical skills for the business.

Your Role
• Manage the development of process flow sheets
• Manage test programs to support project studies
• Develop process flow diagrams, mass balance and basis of design documentation
• Review Piping and instrumentation drawings
• Participate in equipment selection processes
• Provide support to site operations teams
• Review technical reports
• Manage consultants to ensure they deliver value for money
• Participate in design reviews
• Participate in commissioning of systems
• Conduct single discipline risk assessments, represent Strandline in Risk assessments
• Identify new trends and new equipment and assist the business to evaluate them

About you
• Be a valuable contributing team member in a multi-disciplinary Engineering team
• Degree qualified in Extractive Metallurgy, Process or Chemical Engineering or similar discipline
• At least 7 years post degree experience
• Substantial experience in mineral sands is ideal
• Able to act independently to manage process test programs

This is primarily a Perth based role. Significant site work will be required to support our new Coburn mine site. It is expected that during the progressive commissioning of the Coburn mine site the role will be on a site roster for a fixed period. Ad hoc travel to Tanzania may be required.
