Sales Engineer

Overview:

We are currently looking for a Sales Engineer to join our client. The company uses advanced Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to classify and protect unstructured data in real-time, including documents and emails on-premises and in the cloud. The classifications are used to enforce protection on sensitive data while also providing risk and compliance assessments.

About the Role:

As Sales Engineer you will be front and centre of our customer engagement and customer experience. Successful candidates will have a high sense of urgency and ownership when it comes to bringing value to our customers. Understanding the customer need, and being able to manage them through a proof of concept engagement. They will have the agency to make impactful decisions when it comes to onboarding potential new customers. You will also have the ability to provide direct feedback to the product and engineering team, influencing the direction of the product... directly.

The ideal candidate for this role may not necessarily have the most experience but should possess a drive to learn, positive attitude and always have the customer in mind.

Responsibilities:
• Act as a technical consultant and advisor to customers, helping them understand the capabilities and benefits of our solutions and how they can meet their specific needs.
• Define the scope and implement POC deployments.
• Respond to technical questions and RFPs in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide demonstrations of our solutions to customers and prospects.
• Collaborate with the wider sales teams to develop and execute sales strategies.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data security and protection.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
• Act as a liaison between customers, sales teams, and product teams to provide feedback and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
• Experience in a similar role
• Demonstratable sales acumen and ability
• Experienced hands-on Linux skills – admin level.
• Solid networking skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management skills

Bonus:
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Elasticsearch
• Experience with storage platforms such as NetApp, EMC etc.
• Understanding or interest in Machine Learning, NLP or Text Vectorisation
