Legal advises the management of Swiss Life Asset Managers Luxembourg and supports its business teams on a vast range of legal, regulatory, contractual and corporate matters in relation to investment management activity of the management entity. In addition, Legal assumes key responsibility in the fund formation and maintenance processes from incorporation until liquidation and is in charge of regulatory filings with the Luxembourg regulator, as well as for the drafting and negotiation of fund documentation, fund service and distribution agreements, side letters, review and approval of the marketing documentation etc.

Responsibilities
• Fund formation and lifecycle management (both UCITS and AIFs)
• Drafting of the legal documentation of the funds under management and amendments thereto
• Drafting or review of the fund service agreements, especially with the distribution partners
• Liaising with external legal... counsels
• Managing the CSSF relationship in view of obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals
• Being a part of the Asset Management division of Swiss Life Asset Managers' transformation towards its ambitious ESG goals
• Working closely with multi-disciplinary business units of the various entities of Swiss Life Asset Managers
• Coordination and Review of the marketing approval process for UCITS and AIFs
• Advice on cross-border distribution of funds
• Interpretations of legal and regulatory requirements applicable to Swiss Life Asset Managers Luxembourg's distribution business
• Advice to the management on the latest legal & regulatory developments affecting the marketing & distribution of funds
• Distribution agreements lifecycle management and maintenance of funds registration matrix

Experience
• Degree in law
• at least 2 years of experience in fund law gained either in a Luxembourg law firm or another management entity
• Interest and motivation to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Excellent communication, negotiation and soft skills (you are both a leader and a team player)
• Critical thinking, ability to escalate
• Excellent legal and technical language skills in English; German and/or French would be an asset
• Accuracy, confidentiality and punctuality
• Ability to prioritize and manage effectively multiple and complex tasks
• Growth mindset & solution-oriented thinking
