About the role
Every summer, Cadets attend youth summer camps to expand on their training and to network with Cadets from across Canada. These camps require the support of qualified medical professionals to respond to a wide range of healthcare needs from the campers.
Registered Nurses are needed to run routine medical clinics, responding to urgent and ongoing health concerns. In this role you will conduct assessments, dispense medications, liaise with other health providers, and provide health education and teaching, with a focus on ensuring the ongoing good health of the campers.
Education on communicable diseases, responding to first aid concerns, and supporting mental health needs will be daily aspects of the role.
These roles are best suited to Registered Nurses with flexibility in their schedules to commit to working one to eight weeks every summer in the camps, with the opportunity to return yearly to the role. We can offer you the opportunity to work with a unique... paediatric population who are motivated to be in good health and live active lifestyles. You will also benefit from working in a team environment in scenic locations across the country.
Opportunities are available rural and urban settings in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, BC and Whitehorse.
In addition to Registered Nurses we are also seeking Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Physicians, Physician's Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Paramedics.
Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members
