Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Estimate costs of materials and time to complete graphic designs and illustrations. Adapt existing illustrations. Assist in developing storyboards for electronic productions. Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations. Produce 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations. Work in a multidisciplinary environment. Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials. Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication. Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers. Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements. Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
