Development & Demo Vehicles team develop AD/ADAS platform vehicle systems and set up test vehicles. This team also often actively supports software (SW) developers who need to evaluate algorithms on test vehicles.

Our tasks are often supporting software developers to collect real world data which involves setting up new devices or sensors on the vehicle and creating automated tool chain for testing.

We are currently looking for a Working Student in Software Electrical or Automotive Engineering field to work in our Wuppertal, Germany location. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the latest technological advances that will transform mobility toward the future. We are looking for someone with an action-oriented attitude and who is self-motivated, organized, flexible, and able to balance and prioritize multiple diverse tasks.

Your role:
• Create and maintain automated process tools for vehicle testing:
- Create data conversion scripts
- Create automated test report... system
- Create UI for data logging
• Support the integration activities of test vehicles which involves working closely with multiple devices (communication gateways, ethernet switches, sensors, compute modules)
• Analysis of logged data (CAN Network, Ethernet…etc)

Your background:
• Student enrolled in Germany with a focus on electric, embedded systems, or Automotive engineering
• Strong, self-reliant programming skill in Python, MATLAB, C or C++
• Basic knowledge about communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet
• Basic knowledge about ADAS and Autonomous Driving is a plus
• Basic knowledge or experience with tools like Vector CANoe, CANape is a plus
• Basic experience with Linux OS and Raspberry Pi development board
• Independent and structured working method
• Excellent written and oral communication in English
• A team player willing to collaborate with colleagues who has diverse background

Preferred start date: 1st of May 2023
