Primary Function and Purpose
• Oversight of manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
• Oversight of effluent and utilities systems to ensure high reliability of supply
• Development of process safety and ownership of process safety on Site
• Commissioning and qualification from User Requirements Specification creation to Performance Qualification

Principle Responsibilities
• Day to day trouble shooting of production, utility and effluent processes to ensure efficient and cost effective supply
• Where necessary participate and lead root cause investigations into process and equipment failures
• Using foundational principles, improve existing processes to maximise throughput to desired cost
• Development and Site coordination of the Process Safety Management system
• Site coordination of the equipment requalification programme
• Act as a User Representative for Site projects delivering qualified equipment.
• Project Management for agreed CapEx projects
• Ensure Engineering Procedures are up to date and accurate
• Ensure Management of change for Equipment and processes is well detailed delivered in a timely fashion

Qualifications

Minimum Batchelors degree in Chemical Engineering

Other requirements;
• Relevant experience in production engineering
• Current or working towards chartered Engineer status
• Excellent team working abilities
• Proven technical leadership
• Good project management
• sound decision making
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self disciplined time management

Working conditions:
• Industrial environment, engineering workshop, plant rooms, and production areas

Physical Requirements
• Normal office work environment
• lab environment
• Occasional national and international travel may be required
