The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS), working with more than 200 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and the mainland China, is committed to advancing patient services, research, and training and education to the highest quality in all major areas of ophthalmology and visual sciences. We are also dedicated to worthwhile community programmes and public education projects. DOVS, always “in search of excellence”, is looking for candidates to take up positions in our clinical and research (academic, community and translational) programmes involving ophthalmic investigations, public education, out-reach, and ophthalmic studies on disease entities, including thyroid eye diseases, dry eye disease, COVID-19 related eye diseases, oculoplastic and ocular surface diseases, eye trauma and cancers. We are highly committed to supporting career development of all staff members.The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) participating in community services... sampling and eye-screening projects to be held on Saturdays or Sundays; (b) co-ordinating public education workshops and lectures for patients who have different eye disease, school teachers and social workers under eye- screening projects; (c) performing research duties at the CUHK Eye Centre in the Hong Kong Eye Hospital, CUHK Medical Center and Prince of Wales Hospital; (d) providing statistical support to research projects related to health, including data collection, analysis and management; and (e) performing other job-related ad-hoc tasks. In-house training, including assistance in consultation, ophthalmic procedures and investigations, will be provided
