Part-Time Academic Computer Center Supervisor - Byblos

The School of Architecture and Design at the Lebanese American University is currently looking for an
Academic Computer Center Supervisor
, to provide supervision and assistance in the Mac Lab after hours. The schedule for this position is daily from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm (24 hours per week), starting Spring 2023. This position is on the Byblos campus.
Role Summary

The Academic Computer Center Supervisor is mainly responsible for performing a variety of tasks that would ensure proper operation of the computer lab comprising the different functions within the Lab.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Supervises the various daily activities at the MAC computer lab in Byblos, managing workflow to ensure that overall work objectives are achieved, and deadlines are met, and performance reliability, security and availability goals are fulfilled

Implements a preventive, as well as fix-and-repair, maintenance program on all lab equipment... hardware and software, keeping them up and running at all time

Installs upgrades and enhancements that optimize the overall performance of the Lab

Oversees printing procedures using the plotters, scanners, and laser printers

Records and maintains hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licenses, and user access and security

Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support, preferably within an academic setting

Experience working with Macintosh computers and servers configuration, and active directories

Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Cloud software and web development language (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)

Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of faculty

Team spirit, self-motivated, organizational skills, problem solving skills
