Job Description
Development, validation, implementation, documentation and monitoring of automotive industry forecast models (econometric models and time series) for short and long-term for different market levels:
Total industry
Fleet
Luxury
ANPACT
Electric industry
Historical analysis of industry and GM sales to determine monthly seasonal factors
Calculation of daily rates based on historical data of wholesale and retail by channel to set by-day sales objectives
Monitoring of national & global news and economic dynamics to provide insight of their potential impact to automotive industry
Economic factors database maintenance
Central America and Caribbean annual and monthly industry forecast development and update
Support with monthly sales reporting to GMNA
Analysis and reporting of historical inventory levels for volume drivers
Support quarterly and on demand top executives' presentations
Additional Job Description
Statistical modeling, macroeconomic dynamics, time series... forecasting, measures of model accuracy and goodness of fit, demand models, data summarization (grouping and visualization)
Econometric software (E-views)
Experience programming in R, Phyton and SQL (desirable)
Knowledge in big data, desirable
Microsoft Office (Visual Basic, Data Tools, Power Bi or Tableau desirable)
Knowledge and understanding of Corporate/unit policies and procedures
Mathematical and statistical skills, quantitative reasoning, data analysis, economics and business environment awareness, information summarization and storytelling
Proficient level in English (Fluid conversation)
Well-developed oral and written communications skills
