Position : Patient Care Manager – Paediatric Program
Department : Maternal Child
Status : Permanent Full Time
Hours : Monday to Friday; Days plus on-call nursing administration rotation (subject to change based on operational requirements)

This is what you'll be doing:
The Patient Care Manager (PCM) is an inspiring leader who creates a work environment that promotes collaborative teamwork and an exemplary patient and family experience. She/he is responsible for overseeing clinical program priorities, daily operations and quality of care for the Special Care Nursery and Paediatric in-patient units and Paediatric out-patient clinics including: Breastfeeding Clinic, Post Emergency Paediatric Clinic (PEPC), Paediatric GI Clinic, Paediatric Neurology Clinic, Paediatric Cardiology Clinic, RSV Clinic, and Tender Loving Care Retail. The responsibilities include planning, implementing and evaluating activities related to the provision of high quality patient & family centred care services and programs; selecting, hiring and developing staff; working collaboratively with the team; and maintaining fiscal accountability.

• Bachelor of Nursing Degree
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Masters prepared or evidence of substantial completion preferred
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Manager in a similar hospital environment
• Paediatric/Neonatal Intensive Care clinical experience preferred
• Proven leadership skills
• Excellent human resource management skills including recruitment and retention of staff
• Excellent budgeting and financial management skills
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
• Ability to motivate and inspire others towards professional excellence
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated change management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to foster team building
