Are you motivated by the opportunity to occasionally travel abroad in order to get in touch with your client face to face and work remotely majority of the time as part of the mid SAP Basis team Then CGI GDC SAP Basis team is hiring new colleagues with existing SAP Basis experience to join our growing team who is providing innovative solutions across CGI and it's clients.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
As a SAP Basis consultant you will be working independently on several initiatives within our business. Your role will require you to be able to cooperate and communicate directly and efficiently with your internal colleagues as well as our internal and external clients. You will became a part of the team, which is well known by its ability to cooperate and share knowledge internally as well as globally on projects across CGI. Your responsibilities will include:
. Mainly remote system administration and support as medior consultant of SAP Basis ... NetWeaver team working independently with minimal supervision of senior team members
. Resolution of more complex requirements on various SAP environments on Linux, AIX, Windows / Oracle, MsSQL architecture
. Participation on SAP client copy, SAP system copy and SAP patching operations
. Support of less senior SAP Basis / NetWeaver colleagues
. Completion of technical procedures and guidelines
. Direct communication with clients
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Essential Qualifications
. At least three years of professional experience in SAP Basis Administration role
with at least 5 years of professional experience in IT business.
. Proved working experience and very good understanding of SAP kernel upgrade, SAP update patching process, SAP client copy and SAP system copy operations.
. Deeper knowledge of one of the following database platforms (SAP HANA, Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2)
. Working experience with SAP Monitoring tools like SAP Solution Manager, Nagios, Xandria etc. including related configuration.
. Knowledge and understanding of SAP performance issue analysis and management
. Knowledge of the operating systems UNIX / LINUX and / or Windows
Desired Qualifications
. Knowledge of automation techniques (SAP landscape management, shell scripting, powershell)
. Good German communication skills are an added value
. Technical SAP Certification
