An exciting opportunity for Qualified Nursing Associates has opened up in our Acute mental health inpatient unit, Lakeside, in the exciting London borough of Hounslow. We are looking for innovative Nursing Associates (NAs) to join a NEW TEAM of NAs in our acute mental health service.
We have three vacancies on each of our wards in Lakeside; Finch (female acute), Grosvenor (female acute), Robin (female acute), Kingfisher (male acute) and Kestrel (male acute). Here at West London Trust we are passionate about developing our staff and while the nursing associate role is a stand-alone role we also see this as part of a progression route into graduate level nursing.

The post holder’s main focus will be to support the delivery of care for all aspects of the patient’s care from... admission to recovery and transfer/discharge.
The post holder will be able to form therapeutic, meaningful relationships with patients, ensuring they are actively involved in both the planning and delivery of care underpinned by the principles of recovery.
Supporting the Registered Nurse / Nurse in Charge in the delivery of care and where necessary the management of crisis and complex situations, supervising band 3 staff and support staff in a supportive and enabling way.
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills and the ability to remain calm and composed during difficult situations will be fundamental in the role.
The post holder will be an active member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) who will maintain boundaries and be considered and compassionate in their care delivery.
