As a Connectivity Design Engineer, your mission is to specify, design, realize, maintain and qualify electrical infrastructure and electrical (sub) modules(*) for new and existing ASML products.

Cables, racks, cabinets, boxes with electronics, connection boxes, connection plates, back panels, fan units etc.

Role and responsibilities

The Connectivity Design Engineer is responsible for the specification, design, realization, maintenance and qualification of electrical infrastructure and (sub) modules. You... collaborate in and and secure delivery of high quality documentation and infrastructure overviews, e.G.: (sub-)System and Top cable overviews, Bundle overviews, Hardware Impact and product breakdown. The electrical infrastructure consists of the complete electrical path from sensor/actuator towards I/O and/or computational racks, meaning:

All cabling from sensors/actuators up to I/O and/or computational racks and Mains distribution.

Connection plates/boxes, Computational racks (CPU/PLC), I/O racks (rear panels and/or backplanes)
As a Connectivity Design Engineer, you play a key role in aligning infrastructural design choices across multiple competencies and in close cooperation with the function architect. Therefore, other aspects of this job are:

Act as an EDEV INFRA representative in a multidisciplinary design team.

Make your work breakdown and planning, agreed with other stakeholders.

Support outsourcing of work to external suppliers.

Transfer knowledge to production and service engineers.

Solve problems during 1st product integration.

Support production and service as an expert (4th line support).Analyze and solve reliability issues.

Education and experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experienced as designer, including experience with multidisciplinary system design.

Has experience with general electrical engineering principles and electrical development methods and processes.

Technical knowledge of cabling concepts, connectivity concepts, EMC, electrical safety.

Within EDEV the group Electrical Infrastructure DUV is responsible for the definition, realization, qualification and integration of the electrical infrastructure, mains distribution and safety handling functions needed for all DUV scanner products.

The Connectivity Design Engineer will report to the group leader Electrical Infrastructure DUV.
