Medical Doctor position open within our Diabetes clinical development area in Novo Nordisk

The position

We are right now searching for a new passionate colleague to drive a development program as medical specialist, responsible for the clinical trial plans with innovative solutions for a phase II/III programme. You will be responsible for Medical & Science input with a seat in a Global Project Team (GPT), thereby influencing overall project plans and -strategies, and you will be heavily involved in regulatory interactions. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you... have previous experience with business development and due diligence processes.

MDs are working at the very heart of our business in Novo Nordisk. As an MD, you are involved in developing new therapies for life-threatening diseases, designing clinical trials, being responsible for evaluating the safety of our medicines and being part of the drug submission and approval processes with health authorities globally. MDs have the important task of sharing and discussing new insights with physicians and top researchers all over the world. In short, MDs at Novo Nordisk play a key role in all the different stages of Novo Nordisk clinical drug development.

In Medical & Science Diabetes , MDs are medically and scientifically responsible for the clinical trial programs and all other clinically related activities. You will play a leading role in designing clinical trials, provide medical oversight in the trial conduct phase, interpret and document trial results and support submissions to health authorities. You will also have a key role as author for publications of clinical trial data, as well as engaging in interaction with scientific experts and health authorities to achieve the best possible clinical development programs.

The workplace is our office buildings in Søborg but we can also offer flexible working. We do as well support with mobility package when moving from your home country.

Qualifications

We are looking for an MD with a research degree and clinical and/or research experience. Pharmaceutical industry experience is an advantage.

Since your tasks are organised around a project together with many other professionals including statisticians, pharmacologists, trial managers etc, we do see stakeholder management as an important trait. Also, the ability to engage and motivate people is key to your success and you should have a genuine interest in understanding the people you are working with throughout the phases of a given project.

It is essential that you have a strong analytical mind-set and good communication and training skills. You are flexible, open-minded and a dedicated team player with the ability to take on an informal leadership role. In addition, you thrive in a global environment of continuous and fast development with focus on high quality and results.

Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
