An exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced but friendly commercial testing laboratory based in Winchester. The role involves receiving and booking samples for testing, preparation and testing of samples for physio-chemical / combustion properties.

Candidates should ideally have A Level /BSc (or equivalent) qualification in a science subject. Familiar with working to recognised quality standards such as ISO/IEC 17025, GLP or ISO 9001 would be advantageous, however, training will be provided.

Primary Responsibilities

·Undertake combustibility testing of samples (powders, liquids, gases and vapours) from clients in every process sector.
• Sample booking

• Data analysis
• Report writing
• Laboratory hygiene
• Equipment maintenance
• Problem solving

Essential Core Skills:
• Competent in Microsoft Office suite. (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Attention to detail.
• Thorough and methodical in the production of data.
• Good team worker.

Desirable skills
• Familiarity... with ISO 17025, GLP or other quality standards
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment

Salary: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
