Where you will be based
The Centre for Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) is the education and training service for SLHD. CEWD provides a wide range of development opportunities to both the clinical and non-clinical workforce. Some broad portfolios include: clinical placements, orientation, traineeships, management and leadership, corporate skills and clinical skills including teaching through simulation. CEWD is also a major delivery site of the NSW Health RTO and provide a wide range of nationally... recognised vocational education and training programs and qualifications.
About The Role
The purpose of this position is to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of psychology interventions that support high functioning teams and individuals across the District. This might include but is not limited to work place culture review, team function analysis/intervention and coaching. These interventions would be consistent with current guidelines and have been shown to be effective in staff development.
This position requires a broad understanding of psychological theory as it pertains to the successful functioning of organisations; an understanding of the role of behavioural factors in organisational effectiveness and employee satisfaction, productivity, safety and well-being, and an understanding of the social, political and economic context determining organisational workplace design and the role of psychological factors. The Clinical Psychologist will participate in the evaluation of programs, outcomes of services, assist in the development and provision of education and training programs, and will be expected to supervise post-graduate provisional psychologists where appropriate. Work will occur within the context of a multidisciplinary team in collaboration with Workforce Development Consultants and Nurse Educators.
We Are Looking For Someone Who …
• Holds a post graduate degree in clinical psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD that provides eligibility for full membership of the APS with current registration with AHPRA to practice as a psychologist, endorsement or working towards endorsement in clinical psychology. Early career psychologists are invited to apply.
• Demonstrates the understanding of psychological theory as it pertains to the successful functioning of organisations and the role of behavioural factors in organisational effectiveness and employee satisfaction, productivity, safety and well-being.

About Working For SLHD
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
