Hours: 40 per week (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)

As a Psychotherapist, you will need to be confident in the application of your core therapeutic training but also highly adaptable, able to tailor your intervention to the needs of individuals. You will need to be patient, sensitive and determined to engage them in therapy. You will be working for a well-established, private health care provider with a unique approach to the delivery of care. This is an exciting time for somebody to come and be a part of our growth. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a confident and professional telephone manner, self-motivation with a strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Your responsibilities -
• To work autonomously to provide a specialist psychotherapy service to weight loss surgery patients.
• Assess patients to help identify patterns of behaviour relating to their eating and determine readiness for surgery.
• Follow up calls.
• Coordinate reports for submission to various external and internal bodies
• To provide specialist interventions according to formulations based on an appropriate conceptual framework.
• To continually monitor risk of all patients for whom there is direct contact, or regarding which the post holder receives relevant information, ensure acute risk is managed.
• Conduct internal and external discussion groups.

To be successful in this role, you'll need -
• An appropriate therapy accreditation
• Registration with an appropriate professional body
• At least 2 years post qualifying experience
• Verbal and written communication skills
