The Manager Trade Marketing will oversee and manage all MTN brand and communications activities in the trade. This includes but not limited to, ensuring adequate/up-to-date visibility of all MTN propositions in the trade and managing all liaisons with the field teams (Sales & Distribution, Network Group) to ensure that the trade is properly equipped to effectively support the growth in affinity and sales for the MTN brand.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure sustainable Brand presence within all Regions.
Provide marketing support in the regions by planning for and providing timely Point of Sales (PoS), Product awareness through various trade activations, Outlets (Dealers shops, MTN service center, connect stores and retail out lets) and Brand visibility through various material like wall branding, billboards, pole signage, streets and retail outlet signage etc.)
Build synergy across other functions (Brand & Comms, Segments, Sponsorships, BI, and Enterprise... Digital communications, S&D, Network and other departments.) to meet the overall meant plans (PDPs) of RMCs are supported (Internal and external training /workshops Trade marketing objectives.
Develop, defend and execute trade plans in collaboration with S&D, Procurement and other cross functional teams. This includes developing and presenting proposals to sourcing committee and managing the trade marketing budget.
Coordinating all stakeholders in ensuring an updated and consistent look & feel in all MTN outlets i.e. Service centers connect stores as per approved Group CI.
Provide cross functional administrative support, including reporting and budget planning.
Ensure that personal develop e.g. CIM workshop)
Draw market intelligence from the war room tool to drive the regional marketing plan and strategy execution.
Work with and through the Regional Business Managers (RBMs) to ensure the MTN brand and commercial objectives are achieved through a collaborative effort of executing within the regions
Perform any other function as may be delegated by the Senior Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicant for the MTN Uganda Manager Trade Marketing career opportunity should hold a business degree (or its equivalent) with a bias to marketing, communications or a related field.
Two to three years in trade marketing environment.
Management experience is of added advantage.
Creative Multi lingual
Should have an understanding of marketing and market research principles
Strong inter-personal and communication skills
Resilient & capable of working long hours
Organizational, inter-personal and co-ordination skills
Attention to detail
