Our client is a national Disability Services provider, committed to providing people who have disabilities with quality and individualised support services through supported accommodation, day programs and in home care, to allow them to achieve their life goals. Due to continuous growth, we are seeking a Quality Assurance and Compliance Coordinator to join their team in this newly created role.

Reporting to the National Quality and Safeguard Manager, the Quality Assurance and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for:
• Demonstrating knowledge of NDIS legislation rules and code of conduct
• Investigate complaints and... reportable incident notification of violations of the NDIS legalisation rules and code of conduct by determining responsibility and imposing appropriate sanctions
• Assist with various reporting and control functions related to NDIS reportable incidents and positive behavior, support plan authorisations
• Actively contribute to and participate in compliance promotion and education campaigns to inform and educate employees about requirements of relevant legislation and rules
• Provide a range of project management and support services including coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, budget and to standard.
• Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion
• Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
• Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project and policy briefs to support informed decision-making and planning
• Contribute to providing policy advice and responses to external enquiries
• Support leaders with creating presentation material (PowerPoint) and submit reports as required
• Assist with compliance onboarding processes for new recruits

What We’re Looking For
• Certificate 4 in Compliance and Risk Management (desirable)
• Certificate 4 in Government (Investigations) Or Certificate 4 in Government (Regulatory Compliance) or Certificate 4 in Government (Compliance and Risk Management) or equivalent (desirable)
• Proven experience in a related quality, risk and compliance position or relevant not-for-profit organisation
• Outstanding presentation and report writing skills
• Ability to work autonomously or in a team environment
• Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• In-depth knowledge and experience working across the NDIS and compliance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission Framework and Practice standards
• A thorough conceptual understanding of risk management principles
• Interpretation of relevant Government Acts, Regulations and Policy experience
• Ability to influence capability at all stakeholder levels
• Proactive with high level of initiative and excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong commitment to inclusion of people with disabilities within the community
• Ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities and complete work in a timely and accurate manner
• Computer literacy skills, including being a competent user of MS Applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and experience using databases.
• Hold a current First Aid/CPR certificate
• Hold a current NDIS and Working with Children Check
