This opportunity I am sharing with you entails a Virtual-First work setup, which means employees would spend most of their time at home but also schedule visits as needed to a “DXC office” for in-person work with teammates.

Job Description

•Leads preparation of estimates of the work to be done by squad DXC resources (effort hours required to deliver the work) for their capability area.

•Plans and manages daily tasks for developers within their capability area. Creates and reviews progress of JIRA issues & tasks within their capability area.

•Conducts code review and walkthrough done by DXC... resource

•Attends weekly IT Delivery Meeting with QBE Application and Testing Head and report status, issues and help needed from QBE stakeholders

•Raise to DXC and QBE squad-related technical risks and issues for their particular capability area.

•Create Change Request in ServiceNow for production deployment for their area.

•Lead execution of the implementation plan for their capability/area for production release of the squad

•Review release plan for readiness of the developments done in their capability area to be deployed to production

•Owns completion of the following documents

•Tech Design and Review

•Impact Analysis

•RM Sign-off for promotions and software change log (SCL)

•Estimates, plans and commits to the work for the given Sprint/Period

•Designs the most suitable development approach to meet the business requirement

•Develops detailed programming specifications, writes and/or generates code, compiles data-driven programs, and conducts unit tests and performs defect resolution.

•Monitors and tracks JIRA items,and executes and addresses assigned JIRA issues and tasks.

•Participates in necessary Agile Scrum Ceremonies for the squad discussion progress of and reviewing results of sprints; raising issues, risks, and help needed accordingly

•Performs deployment of application changes to production for in-scope items within the squad. Validate application changes moved to production, related to specific squad.

Qualifications

Must have:
• Smart400/G400/Polisy Asia
• Insurance experience
• Cobol (programming language)

• Agile Delivery
• Leadership abilities
