Description

New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate to support the ongoing development of a regional ocean model for the Arabian Peninsula including both physical and biogeochemical components. The candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Paparella and in close collaboration with researchers and faculty of the newly established Arabian Center for Climate and Environmental Sciences (ACCESS), an interdisciplinary research center focused on regional climate and environmental change.

The position will begin in summer 2023 and will extend for two years, with continued renewal possible depending on performance and budgets. Candidates must have a PhD in ocean sciences or a related field completed by December 2022. Experience in numerical ocean modeling and data analysis is considered crucial experience, ideally with an emphasis on coastal oceanography and biogeochemical modeling.
