Dublin-based retail company looking to hire Part-Qualified Accountant.

Working alongside Financial Controller and Management Accountant

Will work with Accounts payable team

Hybrid – 2 days in-office (Office in Earlsfort Terrace)

Flexible working. Start between 8-10 and finish 4-7 whatever suits you.

The role involves:

Financial Reporting & Month End Reporting:
• Responsibility for preparation of accurate management accounts on a timely basis, to include but not exclusive to preparing accruals and prepayments, payroll journals & bank
• Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts on a timely basis
• Preparation of year-end consolidation and preparation of financial accounts and liaising with group auditors on same.
• Analyse the Gross Margin and Profit & Loss to ensure accuracy of reporting
• Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations to include areas that are completed by other team members
•... Responsible for ensuring that all financial reporting requirements are completed in accordance with group policies

KPI Reporting & Compliance
• Preparation & issue of Store P&L’s to the business
• Preparation & issue of Corporate P&L’s to the business

Audit & Compliance
• Responsibility for Statutory Audit – providing information to external audit team on request ensuring that all data provided is accurate and to a high standard
• Responsibility for preparation of Statutory Financial Statements

Other
• Maintenance of the General Ledger, understanding of Microsoft Dynamics and Pursuit
• Continuously improve and support a strong financial control environment
• Identifying and rolling out system and process enhancements
• Build rapport across departments to allow for aligning goals, streamlining processes where applicable and great communication across the business
• Providing support to the Finance Manager and team as required

The Ideal Candidate
• Candidates must have already started, completed or be in process of exams
• Accounts industry experience, 1-2 years mandatory.
• Ability to manage data, analyse output and develop solutions to resolve any questions arising from the analysis
• Supports the Financial Reporting Manager and Group Financial Controller in adopting all policies and procedures which have been developed to encourage best practice across the business
• Ability to gain knowledge of Pursuit systems and use them to maximum functionality to assist in the role
