SEO Content Writer (3 Months) at DesignMyNight 

We’re looking for a passionate and creative SEO Writer to join us our Website & Content team on a contracted basis.

Here at DesignMyNight, the UK’s best hospitality discovery website, you will support the creation and publishing of editorial content across our websites in the UK and Australia. The ideal writer will be comfortable producing quality pieces at a high turnover rate. You will be required to research and produce content on all aspects of nightlife, restaurants, sports, activities and experiences in our cities, with a strong knowledge of applying SEO strategies to build traffic and engagement.  

 

You’re partial to office dogs and Thursday drinks too. 

 

About you:
• You are a strong writer with at least 1 year of experience in online media/digital content
• You have a good understanding of SEO
• You are a happy medium between organised and creative 
• You are proactive, flexible and goal-driven, with the ability to... produce a high turnover of work
• You are able to sub-edit, and more importantly, self-edit 
• You have experience using a CMS, though training will be provided
• You have experience with Google Analytics and SEMrush, or other similar platforms
• You have knowledge or experience of the hospitality/restaurants/nightlife industry

About the role:
• You will work with the Managing Editor and Junior Editors to create hospitality-led website content
• You will use search engine research and analysis of keywords to maximise SEO across copy, images and meta
• You will focus on writing roundups, with the opportunity to write fun blogs, venue reviews, and snappy marketing copy
• You will update and optimise existing content on the site
• You will learn about our customers, trends and cities in order to make sure each piece of content maximises bookings

• 3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
