Chand Environmental Consultants, a dynamic environmental consulting company in the southern suburbs (Plumstead) of Cape Town is seeking an Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) to fulfill the role as senior consultant on the team.

Requirements:
• Minimum 4-5 years EIA and WULA experience;
• EAPASA Registration;
• Excellent working knowledge of environmental legislation as it relates to EIA and other environmental regulatory processes;
• Excellent report writing and communication skills;
• The ability to work in a team and independently;
• Critical thinking and problem solving abilities;
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure on multiple projects;
• The ability to confidently liaise with clients and work strategically within multidisciplinary professional teams; and
• Own transport.

Duties will include the following:
• Environmental baseline and constraints analysis;
• Management of environmental application processes including specialist management and authority... liaison;
• Conducting public participation processes and facilitating stakeholder meetings;
• Compilation of Basic Assessment Reports, Scoping Reports, Environmental Impact Reports, Site Sensitivity Verification Reports, Comments & Responses Reports, Environmental Management Programmes, Waste Management License Applications and Water Use License Applications;
• Environmental Auditing;
• Actively building relationships with clients; and
• Mentorship and support to junior consultants.
