The Project

As an experienced Senior Engineer, you will work on a North West Rail Infrastructure Project including the construction of Bridges. You will play a key role assisting the Project Manager ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in a timely manner.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that... you carry the following qualifications as a minimum;
• CSCS Card
• First Aid
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering

It is also desired that you hold the skills & experience below;
• 3 Years+ experience in a Senior Engineering role
• Experience in bridge construction

The Role

• Reporting to: Senior Project Managers

Duties
• Surveying
• Setting Out
• Problem solving
• Quality Assurance
• Raises RFI's and CVI's
• Training others in setting out
• Supervising a team of Engineers
• Adhere to current H&S regulations
• Create as built surveys and log data
• Recognise extras and potential claims
• Attend and contribute in project related meetings
• Management of onsite labour including subcontractors
• Provide progress updates to The Senior Management Team
• Write letters to external companies for signature by the Agent
• Provide Technical Advice to Project Team members and Clients
• Identify temporary works within the section ensuring they are planned
• Reporting in to and working closely with the Senior Management Team
• Liaising with technical, external specialists, etc to ensure they are implemented successfully
• Produce method statements for all operations carried out to be offered to the client for approval
• Relay information to site teams / labour to ensure works are constructed within required tolerances
• Understand and interpret contract documents (drawings, bending schedules, specifications, moss/setting out information strings)
