Job Description

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the branding, marketing and event visitor growth initiatives for overall event brands for Informa Markets in Malaysia. This role is key in the strategic delivery and success of marketing initiatives and campaigns that generate brand awareness, recruit exhibitors and visitors, and drive revenue for our portfolio flagship content, in-person events and digital communities. This will include but not limited to trade shows, digital event platforms, and web conferences.

The incumbent needs to work with internal stakeholders including sales, account management, operations, as well as external stakeholders including shows' exhibitors, partners, visitors and media, to drive impactful business results. The Senior Marketing Manager needs to have strong strategic acumen but also be very hands-on in developing the marketing and execution plans for key brands in the group and... managing execution, ensuring quality standards are met and exceeded.

Key responsibilities for this role:
• Develop and implement end-to-end, year-round marketing strategies and integrated marketing plans, that deliver key marketing and business objectives for the overall portfolio and the supporting teams
• Develop strategic data driven marketing plans/ sharing market best practices with clear KPI's and marketing goals, which help to guide and monitor performance of the marketers in the Malaysia team
• Grow the visitor database for the overall portfolio by developing effective marketing and communications activities, which would successfully drive visitors acquisition, engagement, and retention. Be the expert in advising key accounts on bespoke marketing campaigns, plan and execute paid, owned, and earned media activities that deliver high performance campaign results and client satisfaction
• Create highly effective, professional, and creative content in various formats to help improve customer / user experience, as well as improve community engagement
• Translate regional and local marketing objectives into roadmap and execution calendars, develop and prioritize initiatives, define the requirements of solutions, and orchestrate the concerted efforts from internal subject matter experts to external agencies for successful implementation
• Develop Informa Markets Malaysia brand into a well-recognized preferred marketing partner in the industries we serve
• Collaborate with regional and local team to establish marketing automation / targeted communications practice, enhance our data collection defined by marketing use cases and leverage data-led marketing analytics to enhance marketing campaign performance
• Translate and implement Informa Markets corporate marketing direction and branding to Malaysian playing field
• Manage marketing budget and be able to prioritize initiatives to meet business objectives

Qualifications
• Degree holder in communications, Marketing, Business or related field
• At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in B2B event marketing
• Proficiency in marketing and analytics tools and excellent understanding of digital practices, knowledge of Google Analytics and PowerBI is preferred
• Have solid experience and track record on developing customer database via advanced analytic platform, conduct customer journey mapping with appropriate content strategy
• Proven ability to lead a sizeable team with 12-14 members
• Experience with Marketing automation campaign planning and delivery, knowledge of using marketing automation and CRM systems such as Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce will be a big plus
• Highly analytical thinker who is able to identify key insights to make data-driven decisions and clearly communicate these to a diverse set of stakeholders
• Excellent stakeholder management in managing corporate relationship with key stakeholders including media, government, association, etc
• Project management and presentation skills – able to develop action plan, timeline and follow through
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
