My favorite part about the BIT, Behavioral Health Intervention Team, that I work on is that we are focused on not just helping patients in their most difficult and trying circumstances, but also supporting and providing education for staff who are dealing with some of the most difficult patients in the hospital. And the competency of my teammates and supervisor was one of the primary reasons I was so attracted to this role, and really one of my favorite parts about the team. It's nice when other functional units are happy to see you because you're providing an additional resource to support them. And I'd say that's my most favorite piece of being on this team.

Description

Dietitian - Under general supervision, oversees and provides nutritional care to hospital inpatients and/or outpatients. Provides patient care to any of the following age groups: premature infants, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle and older adults.

Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field
• ADA approved internship or equivalent educ/experience
• National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire
• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or Registered Dietitian Eligible (must pass Registration Exam within 6 months of eligibility to take the exam)

Preferred qualifications:
• 1 year of Dietetics experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience in computers and hand-held computers.
• Spanish Speaking
