The Big Data Analytics Center (BiDAC) is established to conduct quality big data research, training, consultation and to provide unified big data platform services within the UAE and internationally. The main objective of BiDAC is to conduct leading-edge research and services within the emerging domain of big data analytics and disseminate technical know-how that can be applied to improve the performance of public and private enterprises.
BiDAC is currently in need of an experienced Data Scientist/ Data Engineer. The ideal candidate is expected to work with Big Data team to liaise with different users and maintain conformity in implementations. He/she will be responsible for building scalable big data platforms, and large-scale processing systems that enable advanced analytics and support data teams across the enterprise.
Minimum Qualification
BSc. in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized university. Knowledge of working with Big Data platforms and developing... data mining models and analytics solutions. Minimum of 3 years of experience and records of creative solutions created. Programming and problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualification
• M.Sc. in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized university.
• Programming experience particularly in Python and R.
• Experience in developing advanced machine learning models (e.g. deep learning, NLP, Computer Vision)
• Knowledge of Data-Driven-Decision making process and implementation.
• Proven experience or certification in related technology such as cloud computing, distributed systems, Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, etc.
• Knowledge of dashboard creation
