A leading manufacturing business in Blackburn is seeking a commercially focused Management Accountant to join their finance team and play a critical role in driving performance, accuracy, and insight across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast)
Partner with operational teams to interpret financial data and influence decision–making
Cost accounting and inventory management reporting
Maintain and develop product costing models
Reconcile balance sheets and maintain financial controls
Use SAP for reporting, data extraction, and system improvements
Assist in year–end audit processes and compliance requirements
Requirements:
Qualified or part–qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
Experience as a Management Accountant in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
Strong SAP experience (desirable)
Excellent analytical, Excel, and communication skills
Commercial mindset and ability to liaise across functions
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Benefits:
Competitive salary of 45,000 – 55,000 depending on experience
