Position Summary:
Employee Services provides comprehensive support from recruitment to retirement, including benefits, payroll, tax management, and HR programs. The functional areas include Payroll, Technologies, Benefits, Retirement, Financial Education, Learning and Development, International Tax, and Human Resources.
The HCM Payroll Support Professional acts as a functional advisor, providing service and support to faculty, staff, students, retirees, and dependents regarding payroll programs, policies, and procedures. This role is part of a cross-functional Payroll team, working collaboratively, sharing information, and rotating responsibilities. The person will handle inquiries via phone, email, or tickets, requiring excellent customer service and communication skills. Timely responses within SLAs are essential.
This role involves assessing issues, educating users, guiding them to resources, and recording interactions in the ticketing system. The position reports to the HCM & Payroll Support Team Supervisor and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified Staff system.

This position is eligible for remote work within the United States, with a preference for Colorado residents or those willing to relocate.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Handle inbound calls regarding CU policies, portal access, HCM system, and personal/job data.
Answer questions related to pay, taxes, over payments, off-cycle payments, Time and Attendance, Absence Management, and recruiting systems.
Research and update employee data as needed.
Respond to email inquiries within SLA.
Collaborate on escalated issues.
Provide feedback on service issues.
Build relationships through effective communication.
Track issues in the ticketing system.
Meet ticket closure metrics.
Ensure compliance with guidelines and policies.
Create and review documentation for knowledge sharing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (including four years in a fast-paced customer service environment).
At least one year of experience supporting payroll or HR systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of relevant experience.
One year as a Customer Service Representative.
Experience in higher education.
Knowledge of People Soft HCM system.
Understanding of payroll concepts like social security, Medicare, and taxes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Payroll and HCM system knowledge.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to change.
Strong customer service orientation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to maintain good working relationships.
