Summary:
The Truck and Coach Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our trucks and trailers. This position will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager/Supervisor. The Mechanic’s responsibilities will also include ordering parts, keeping inventory, conducting diagnostic tests, assisting technicians, as well as any other shop-related tasks.
Schedule:
• Daily reporting to the Timmins, Ontario Hub with service calls into the field via a company provided vehicle when needed.
• Winter 4 on 4 off, to support operations and business needs.
• Summer 4 on 4 off or 4-10’s rotating, on call may be required to support operations and business needs.
Requirements:
• The best suited candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years truck and coach experience.
• Certificate of Qualification (310S and 310T)
• Red Seal Qualification is considered a must.
• Experience maintaining Cummins, Paccar engines and Kenworth trucks.
• Ability to diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems, and brake components.
• Excellent organizational and technical communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence and to deal tactfully with a wide range of personalities.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive movements at times.
• Exceptional work ethic with a positive, analytical, and safe work attitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be safety minded, a self-starter, and a team player.
• Candidates must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check, Fit-for-Duty, and D&A screen to be considered for employment.
