Are you passionate about leadership, community, and helping young people grow in their faith? Camp Harmattan is looking for enthusiastic Cabin Leaders to join our 2025 summer team! Position Overview
As a Cabin Leader, you’ll be a role model and guide for a cabin group (Grades 1–12), creating a safe, fun, and spiritually enriching experience. You'll lead daily activities, build community, and support campers in their personal and faith journeys.
Term: Seasonal contract (July or July & August)
Compensation: $18/hour (8 paid hours/day), plus volunteer hours for camper care
Perks: Room & board, leadership development, meaningful ministry, and up to $1000 in matching Ambrose University scholarships for eligible staff
What You’ll Do
Lead and supervise a cabin of campers, creating a positive and inclusive environment
Facilitate and participate in games, crafts, outdoor adventures, chapels, and campfire events
Guide campers in spiritual discussions and daily devotions
Support camp-wide programs and operations (kitchen, maintenance, cleaning, events, etc.)
Promote safety, health, and conflict resolution in a respectful, compassionate manner
Collaborate with seasonal staff, volunteers, and leadership teams
Attend all training and team-building sessions
Who We’re Looking For
A committed Christian with a personal faith aligned with the Church of the Nazarene’s Statement of Belief
Age 18+ or graduated from high school by the start of camp
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Adaptable, team-oriented, and energized by a fast-paced camp environment
Experience working with children/youth (camp or ministry setting preferred)
Physically able to participate in camp life and light labour
Current First Aid/CPR is an asset
Successful background and vulnerable sector checks required
