Position DetailsEDUCATION ASSISTANTS (SPECIAL NEEDS)
St Helena's Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 490 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and passionate Education Assistant to positively influence the lives of students and contribute to our Catholic school community at St Helena's Catholic Primary School. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming ongoing.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.
Have skills and experience in engaging with and catering for students with special needs and developing positive relationships.
Be able to support the teaching program in Early Childhood and Primary (working with individuals and small groups).
Work collaboratively as part of a team with other staff.
Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and the ability to work independently.
Demonstrate the capacity and enthusiasm to build community in a Catholic school in collaboration with staff, parents and students.
Qualifications Required
Certificate IV Teacher Assistant (or equivalent).
Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willingness to attain this).
