I am a BC certified teacher and have been teaching for just over 20 years. I have had many roles that range from: classroom teacher, English Language Learner (ELL/ESL) teacher and Resource Teacher (working with those with special needs, learning disabilities, etc.). If you are looking for someone who is patient, enthusiastic, can help build your child's academic confidence, while teaching them the skills/techniques to help them in school and become life long learners, let me know! I primarily tutor in the New Westminster or South Burnaby areas. I can adapt and teach according to your child's learning style (e.g., hands-on, paper/pencil, visual, etc.) in all subject areas Grades K-7 including but not limited to: Math, English (from learning English for the first time to writing skills such as paragraphs/essays/reports to reading comprehension), Science, some ADST/computer skills and even sports/health/nutrition.
I prefer in-person tutoring as it is more effective; however, if you prefer online, I can do that as well. :)
Feel free to contact me for any further information. Fee per hour is dependent on in-person or online, subject area and age. Range is anywhere between $30-$50.
