We are seeking compassionate and positive Physician Assistant (PA) to provide therapeutic support for patients with mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse issues.
The PA will work collaboratively with our providers and therapy team in our outpatient settings, providing psychiatric services and care to the adult population, including clinical diagnosis, intervention planning, medication management, and discharge planning.
The position is Full-Time.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
Providing psychiatric assessment and clinical care.
Coordinating care with counselors for patient care.
Recommending treatment plans and following treatment outcomes.
Active participation in case conferences and related team-based meetings.
Prescribing psychotropic/controlled substances medication as appropriate for client care.
Working with the clinical staff towards the integration of patient health with behavioral health.
Providing client education on behavioral health issues and strategies for recovery.
Clinical monitoring.
TMS, Ketamine/Ketamine Therapy.
Requirements:
Physician Assistant degree and a current license to practice as a PA in North Carolina State.
Licensed by the NC Medical or Nurse Board of Examiners and/or the ability to obtain your NC Medical License and DEA License.
If you do not have it yet, you will commit to apply and obtain a Mental Health certification/CAQ – Certification of Additional Qualifications to your license within 2 years of employment with us.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with EMR programs.
Confidence to work independently.
Willingness to take over existing patients as well as take on new patients.
