The Unit Manager for the Rehab Unit at Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a Registered Nurse responsible for supervising unit operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring high standards of care. The role includes handling administrative tasks, addressing resident concerns, and maintaining adequate medical supplies. Candidates should have a minimum of three years in long-term care and one year in a managerial position, along with strong communication skills and a valid RN license.
Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is Under New Management and looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to work in our facility in Syracuse, NY .
We are now offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus!
Duties Include:
Handle all supervisory duties for the unit
Establish employee policies and procedures
Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical & career advice
Establish the standards of care for the unit
Review Resident records & quality of care
Monitor overall care & review individual Resident cases
Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families
Ensure the department is well-stocked with medical supplies
Represent the unit's interests with the upper-level management
Requirements:
Minimum 3yrs. Long-Term Care experience
Minimum 1yr. Unit Manager experience
Must hold valid RN License
Basic computer skills
Strong communication skills
