Overview
Our Client, a large firm of Chartered Accountants and TCSP is seeking a Trainee Accountant studying towards the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification within a busy general accountancy practice and corporate service provider.
Full mentorship and study support package.
As a Trainee Accountant, you will be involved in many aspects within the practice, including:
Liaison with third party institutions such as banks, brokers and rental agents
Bookkeeping including inputting client records
Preparation of accounting schedules & accounts files, financial statements, and investment schedules
Preparation of management information for clients
Preparation of personal tax computations and returns, corporate tax computations and returns.
Preparation of VAT computations and returns
The ideal Trainee for this role will have either excellent A' level results or GCSEs at grades A / B, including mathematics. Wider requirements include:
Ambitious and determined to study to complete the challenging CAT qualification
Prior office experience is an advantage
Diligent and hard working with a willingness to learn
A strong communicator with good organisational skills
Discretion, diplomacy and a confident approach are a must
Willing to learn and to take on responsibility and ownership of tasks
Excellent attention to detail
