Cover Supervisor - - Day to Day & Long Term Work in Birmingham
Location: Birmingham
Position: Cover Supervisor (Day-to-Day & Long-Term)
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience
Are you a confident and adaptable individual looking for a rewarding role in education? Do you have experience in managing classroom behaviour, or are you an aspiring teacher looking to gain valuable experience? We are currently seeking Cover Supervisors to join our agency and provide support to schools across Birmingham.
As a Cover Supervisor, your role will involve supervising students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring that work is completed, managing classroom behaviour, and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. You will have the opportunity to work across various schools, both on a day-to-day and long-term basis, gaining valuable experience and making a real impact on students' education.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise students during lessons, ensuring they remain on task and complete assigned work
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive environment
Support students in their learning, providing guidance where appropriate
Communicate effectively with teaching staff to ensure smooth transitions and updates on student progress
Maintain a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere
Encourage student participation and engagement
The Ideal Candidate:
Ideally, you will be a qualified teacher or a subject specialist cover supervisor with experience in managing classrooms and behaviour
Confident in leading groups of students with diverse needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students and staff
Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring students stay focused and on task
Highly adaptable and able to work across a variety of subject areas and key stages
Aspiring teachers are also encouraged to apply, as this role provides excellent preparation for future teaching careers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
