Icebox is one of London’s biggest and longest standing (f1993) ice cube suppliers to the Bar Restaurant Hotel and Event industry, and supply UK wide to festivals and major events. We do hundreds of drops a day / week, and over ten thousand a year, we are busy! We also happen to be World renowned Ice sculpture specialists, creating delivering and installing over 5,000 a year all over London the UK and beyond.
Role Description
This is a full-time, role-your-sleeves-up / hands-on, role located at our production and warehouse facility in Central London. As the Warehouse/Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering and supervising all ice production in many forms, from bags of cubes, specialist bespoke cut cubes, big sculpting blocks and more. You will also be involved in all other aspects of running the warehouse, picking packing, loading vans, using forklift, quality control, supervising staff and more
Experience required
Minimum 3yrs warehouse experience
Ideally minimum 1yr experience warehouse supervising
Forklift license preferred
Duties
Delivering and Supervising:
Production
Packing & palletising ice Cutting ice blocks and bespoke cubes Pulling and pouring big ice sculpting blocks Ensuring correct storage of all ice products Maintaining freezer storage to standard Maintaining cleanliness of all production and storage areas Upholding SALSA food hygiene standards
Warehouse
Picking & packing of goods
Vehicle Management Loading & unloading vans
Driver time management in warehouse
Inward and Outward goods
Sculpture preparation, wrapping, storing
Sculpture Equipment maintenance / preparation
Order processing (Confirmation Sheets) – Sculpture, equipment, etc…
Stock control / Ordering / Supplier liaison
Helping run warehouse, saving costs, waste stock etc
Supervising hourly staff Reporting progress daily to Manager
General warehouse duties Maintenance – warehouse equipment
Health and safety – In house
Monitor weekly/daily checklists – Warehouse, equipment, etc…
Pay & Hours
Salary £35K depending on experience and ability
50 hours per week
Standard shift Mon – Fri 7am – 5pm
Summer shifts – some Midday – 10pm – rotational with other staff
Regular weekend work required - rotational with other staff – we are 7 day a week operation
Shift work - earlier starts, later finishes in busy period (mainly summer)
We are season dependent – in summer we are busy! – extra hours required to be worked
