Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently within designated local routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight and materials to various locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is mandatory.
2 or more years of experience in commercial driving or freight transportation.
Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts.
Strong understanding of safety regulations related to transportation and heavy equipment operation.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to follow schedules strictly.
A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork.
Previous experience in automotive repair is a plus but not required.
