Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to lead our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Domestic Pensions, ZIPAL, Corporate Savings, Group Protection including Hong Kong, and Technical Operations teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of these critical areas, while driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
As the Head of Operations, you will:
Lead all the International Markets operational teams, providing strategic direction and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Oversee the administration and management of all operational teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Drive the operational efficiency and strategic alignment of Zurich International Pensions Administration Limited (ZIPAL), ensuring it meets business objectives and exceeds client expectations.
Provide technical leadership and expertise, ensuring that all operational processes and procedures are efficient, effective, and aligned with industry best practices.
Collaborate with the wider senior leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence and support business growth.
Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies, where necessary.
Develop and implement mitigating actions to manage potential risks.
Help the business achieve its strategic objectives while protecting it from regulatory and/or reputational risks, by owning key financial targets.
Your skills and experience:
Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
Strong knowledge of Employee Benefits such as Domestic Pensions, Corporate Savings, Group Protection, and Trustee business.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Agile mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
A degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in problem solving, being able to clearly show your ability to influence and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
