Teaching Assistant (Sports Focus) – North London Primary School
Are you passionate about sports and working with children? Do you have coaching experience and a desire to support young learners in an energetic and rewarding school environment?
We are looking for a Sports-Based Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant North London primary school. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, has a background in coaching, and wants to make a real impact on pupils' development—both in the classroom and on the sports field.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in delivering high-quality PE lessons and general classroom activities.
Lead small group sports sessions and assist in extra-curricular sports clubs.
Encourage children’s physical development, teamwork, and confidence through sports.
Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils, including those with additional needs.
Help organise and supervise school sports events and competitions.
Support behaviour management and create a positive learning environment.
Requirements:
Experience working with children in a school or coaching setting.
A background in sports coaching (FA Level 1, Level 2, or other relevant qualifications desirable).
A passion for sports and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
An enthusiastic and proactive approach to working with young learners.
