As the Head of Department, Healthcare Services, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals. You will have a strong background in clinical leadership and a proven track record of implementing sustainable, patient-centered improvements.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, spearhead initiatives to optimize resources, and foster a positive, people-centred culture. You will be responsible for operational excellence, overseeing performance targets related to access times, triage outcomes, and patient flow.
You will also drive clinical governance, including morbidity and mortality reviews and quality improvement initiatives. In addition to your clinical expertise, you will possess excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans aligned with hospital priorities
Oversee medical staffing, including on-call rosters and consultant leave management
Promote a learning culture through mentorship, education programs, and accreditation compliance
Drive clinical risks and promote a culture of safety
