SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Self motivated, Able to work as a team member and alone, Mechanically inclined, computer skills, take pride in work, willing to learn and have good trouble shooting skills, Peer to Peer Tech Support, familiar with work safe practices and procedures, demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision, ability to operate required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner, technical and mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment, including plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
-Diagnose and repair electrical equipment such as fuel equipment, air compressors, tank gauging equipment, fuel truck, calibrations etc
-Perform routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning and replacing worn parts.
-Complete new parts orders as assigned
-Maintain inventory of parts and supplies
-Perform other duties as assigned by management
-Able to work alone, as well as with a team
-Work well with other trades and customers
-Willing to work out of town occasionally for 1 to 2 weeks trips
-Manual Dexterity: Repeated and coordinated use of your arms, hands, wrists and fingers to use handheld tools
-Physical Strength and stamina: Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to hold, push, pull, lift and carry heavy items.
-Ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift items weighing in excess of 50 lbs
-Must be willing to learn and be open to completing required safety training, or industry standard training to advance knowledge, and be successful
-Must have a valid drivers license
-Must be able to pass random drug and alcohol testing successfully
EXPERIENCE
Required 2+ years of experience in a service technician role or similar role an asset but not required. Willing to train the right candidate.
EDUCATION
Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent an asset but not required.
Licensed Petroleum Mechanic (will consider candidates with PMH with 2+ years industry related field experience) an asset but not required.
