Pay: $23/h
Seeking an inclusion support worker to support a 17 year old male autistic teenager for two evenings or 1 evening and 1 afternoon per week. The duration of each shift will be approximately 3-5 hours. This job requires previous experience supporting individuals with autism.
Responsibilities:
1) Driving the client to a Youth event at a church in NW Calgary on Wednesday evening from 6:45pm-10:15pm. Advocating for the client, encouraging the client to communicate with other youth and adult leaders, encouraging the client to participate in organized events, guiding the the client with social skills, helping the client with self confidence, and encouraging the client with independent skills.
2) On a different evening or afternoon: a) Accompanying the client on a leisure walk either from his home or driving to a trail or b) Driving to a recreational activity.
