The role – Sports Teaching Assistant
I am working with a SEN School based in Merton that are looking for a new Sports Teaching Assistant to join their team! In this role you will be required to assist students in class and must be an approachable, enthusiastic and efficient person with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and students. As a Sports Teaching Assistant you will be coaching and running sports during break and lunch time and will be required to work with small groups of students. You will be working with students that have Educational Health Care Plans and must have experience working with Special Educational Needs and challenging behaviour.
The school – SEN
This SEN School is based in Merton and caters for students aged 11 – 17 years old. Many pupils have Social and Emotional difficulties, and some have associated learning difficulties which are wide ranging in terms of severity. The school works closely with a range of professionals, with their own Safer Schools Officer on site twice a week, a Speech and Language therapist, Educational Psychologist and CAMHS worker.
