IT Support Desk Engineer – Exciting Opportunity with a Leading IT Provider

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

About the Company:

Our client is a well-established IT solutions provider delivering expert managed services to businesses across various industries. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and technical excellence, they are looking for a skilled IT Support Desk Engineer to join their growing team.

The Role:

As an IT Support Desk Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional remote and on-site IT support. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring systems run smoothly while maintaining high customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1st and 2nd line support for client IT issues via phone, email, and remote tools

Log and track support tickets, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently

Assist with system installations, updates, and configurations

Proactively monitor IT systems, identifying potential problems before they escalate

Work closely with senior engineers to escalate complex issues when necessary

Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent customer service

Skills & Experience Required:

Previous experience in an IT support/helpdesk role

Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking

Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail

Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Essential):

Experience with Azure, VPNs, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud services

Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL)

A full UK driving licence is preferred, as some client site visits may be required
