Our client an award winning, independent family-owned manufacturing company, are looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to join them. The Operations Manager will manage our manufacturing and warehousing operations. You will be crucial in overseeing and improving end-to-end operational processes. In this role, you will ensure that efficiency, productivity, and safety targets are achieved and aligned with overall business needs.
The Job
* Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring tight quality control and efficient production workflows.
* Oversee inventory management, including ordering of stock and raw materials, receiving and storing.
* Surveying and measuring up clients’ requirements
* Designing projects using AutoCad
* Attending client’s sites – liaising with clients either by telephone, email or face to face
* Manage and implement operational procedures to improve productivity, scalability, and efficiency
* Management of Workshop Team
* Ensure Health and Safety and site maintenance standards are followed promoting a safe and secure working environment.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in operations management, preferably within a manufacturing environment
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams toward achieving operational excellence.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage operational challenges effectively.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* High level of organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
* Health, Safety and Environmental
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
* Proactive in identifying opportunities for innovation and streamlining processes.
* Ability to foster and role model our values and a culture of collaboration and teamwork
* CAD Experience ideally AutoCad
* FLT Licence – Training can be provided
* Driving Licence - Essential
Hours of Work are 9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 2pm Friday
