English Teacher - SEN School

English Teacher:
In this English Teacher role you would be expected to teach KS2 – KS4 English language & literature lessons to small classes and groups of students, planning and delivering engaging lessons to students with additional needs.
You would have the support of teaching assistants to aid you within the classroom, so this English Teacher would need good management skills, and essentially be able to follow and administer a strong behaviour policy.
The specialist school belongs to a fantastic trust that has helped shaped the academic and social development of hundreds of pupils across the North of England!
English Teacher – The Role:
Teaching engaging English language and literature lessons across KS2 – KS4
Support the academic progress across English subjects
Work with students with additional needs
Aid students on a 1:1, group and a small class basis
Work with and delegate tasks to support staff
Contribute to the wider school community and a studious environment
English Teacher – Qualifications & skills required:
QTS
English Language or English Literature related degree
Excellent communication skills
Strong behaviour management
Prior SEN / behaviour experience is preferred
Prior education experience – teaching, tutoring or support
